About this position
The postdoctoral fellow will join the laboratory of Dr. Jianping Li at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) at Thomas Jefferson University, working on NIH/NCI-funded research into the roles of chromatin regulators and immune interactions in blood cancers.
The project centers on the initiation of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and lymphoma, relapse, chemotherapy resistance, and CNS infiltration. The lab investigates how mutant chromatin regulators drive phenotype and molecular mechanisms using cell lines, conditional mouse models, and patient-derived xenografts.
The research environment is highly translational and technically broad, with access to cutting-edge methods including CUT&RUN, ChIP-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, Hi-C, proteomics, drug screening, flow cytometry and sorting, and CRISPR editing and screening. The lab is embedded in the NCI-designated SKCCC, where researchers collaborate across departments and specialties within a major cancer center and the expanding Blood Cancer Center of Excellence.
Thomas Jefferson University is described as a large research and clinical institution in Philadelphia with a strong cancer research infrastructure and opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
