About this position

The University of Leeds is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join Laura Carter’s research group on the project “Closing the Loop: Emerging Contaminants in Agricultural Environments.”

The project investigates the fate and effects of emerging contaminants, particularly pharmaceuticals, in agricultural systems. The research will examine how these contaminants affect soil health and crop productivity, as well as the implications of human exposure through food consumption.

The fellow will work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team in the School of Geography at the University of Leeds. The research environment brings together environmental chemistry, plant and soil sciences, and human health, with additional focus on the relationship between contaminant exposure and the development of antimicrobial resistance.

This opportunity is suited to researchers interested in environmental contaminants, agricultural environments, soil and plant systems, food-related exposure, and the health consequences of antimicrobial resistance.
