About this position
Postdoctoral position available in the group of Xing Wang at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a collaborative project focused on measuring tissue secretion dynamics using microfluidics in partnership with Dr. Minjun Son's group at the Biohub.
This opportunity is aimed at candidates with a strong background in microfluidic device fabrication, soft lithography, CAD software, programming in Matlab, Python, and/or C++, COMSOL simulation and automation, advanced microscopy (for example, confocal microscopy), image analysis, and experience with mammalian cell cultures or tissues. Additional desirable expertise includes aptamer sequence design, secondary structure prediction, aptamer characterization, and aptamer-protein structural simulation and molecular docking.
The post is open to applicants with a PhD in Physics, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a related STEM field. Candidates with theoretical research backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
The position is available immediately. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
