About this position

The newly established Goradia Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the SONATA Bis 15 project funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), Poland. The project investigates how higher-order protein assemblies regulate transcriptional repression and chromatin organization in mammalian cells, with a focus on the molecular mechanism of CtBP corepressor inactivation by RAI2-induced CtBP polymerization.

The work combines mammalian cell biology, CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, quantitative fluorescence imaging, proteomics, and functional genomics. The postdoc will help establish and optimize chromatin profiling and genome-wide workflows such as ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or related methods, and will contribute to experimental design, sample preparation, quality control, and biological interpretation of multi-omics datasets.

Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant life science field and have strong experience in mammalian cell biology, molecular biology, protein interaction studies, and at least one of chromatin biology, transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, or functional genomics. A strong publication record, excellent English, and strong analytical and teamwork skills are expected. Experience with chromatin profiling, quantitative microscopy, proteomics, or cancer biology is desirable.

The position offers a full-time contract for the project duration, a competitive NCN salary of about 9500 gross/month, medical and social benefits, and 36 days of paid holiday per year. The expected start date is 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
