Postdoc Opening in Robot-Mounted Photonic Nose, Robotics and Photonic Materials University of Pennsylvania in United States

The Yang Lab at the University of Pennsylvania is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for a project on a robot-mounted photonic “nose”. The goal is to develop a system that can actively sample, sense, and interpret chemical environments, combining ideas from robotics, materials science, photonic materials, structural color, and optical sensing.

This opportunity is led by Prof. Shu Yang, Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Joseph Bordogna Professor of Engineering and Applied Science at Penn. The post highlights interest in candidates with a background in vision and/or robotics materials, and especially those with experience in photonic materials, structural color, optical sensing, or VOC detection.
