About this position
This postdoc at Aarhus University focuses on multibody dynamics and hybrid testing with application to floating wind turbines. The successful candidate will join the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, and contribute to ongoing externally funded research projects as well as teaching activities.
The research combines computational and experimental work. On the computational side, the postdoc will develop methods for multibody dynamics and support the creation of simulation software using modern approaches. On the experimental side, the role involves hybrid testing work related to wind-turbine systems, including interaction with control and loading systems. The position also includes dissemination through international journals and conferences, and collaboration with students through project and PhD co-supervision.
The department describes itself as a growing engineering environment with research connected to real-world needs in the built environment and industry. It works across structural engineering, geotechnics, architectural engineering and design, sustainability, construction management, climate adaptation, indoor climate, building materials, and digital technologies. The postdoc will be based at Navitas in Aarhus and will work within this broader research and teaching setting.
The contact person named in the advert is Associate Professor Giuseppe Abbiati.
