About this position

Two full-time, fixed-term roles are open in the group of Alexi Nott at the UK Dementia Research Institute, Imperial College London (White City Campus).

The positions focus on brain vascular epigenomics and dementia, building on recent work showing that the brain neurovascular unit is a key driver of genetic risk for small vessel disease and that epigenomic profiling of vascular cell types can help prioritise drug targets for dementia.

Open roles

• Research Associate (postdoc): hands-on epigenomics role involving CUT&Tag, ChIP-seq, and ATAC-seq, leading a translational project on vascular dysfunction in dementia. Salary: £50,733–£59,484 p.a.

• Research Assistant (computational): bioinformatics-focused role analysing large-scale epigenomic and multi-omics datasets and building analysis pipelines using R, Python, Nextflow, and HPC. Salary: £43,863–£47,223 p.a.

Both posts are funded by the Michael Uren Foundation and are based at Imperial's White City Campus in the United Kingdom.

Deadlines

• Research Assistant: 17 August 2026

• Research Associate (postdoc): 23 August 2026
