Dr. Hong Chen, Assistant Professor and Cisco Research Chair in IoT at the University of New Brunswick, is recruiting Postdoctoral and PhD candidates for Summer (May) and Fall (September) 2026. The research group focuses on cutting-edge topics in AI-enabled wireless communication networks, exploring the interplay between machine learning and wireless networks. Key research areas include semantic communication, digital twin, edge intelligence, generative AI and large language models (LLM), and intelligent IoT systems.

Applicants should have a strong background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3. PhD applicants must hold a Master's degree with an excellent academic record; prior publications are preferred.
