About this position
Cornell University is hiring 6-10 postdoctoral associates to join an ambitious initiative on AI education in higher education. The postdocs will work with the Center for Teaching Innovation and educational researchers across the university to support targeted pilots of AI across the curriculum.
Successful candidates will collaborate with faculty teams from one or two of Cornell’s undergraduate and professional colleges to design, implement, and study curricular and pedagogical responses to AI. The work is both practical and research-focused: postdocs will help adapt or develop teaching strategies and curricula, support assessment planning, coordinate across courses, and lead course-level research on educational outcomes.
The role includes close collaboration with a cohort of postdoctoral associates and wider research teams to produce both department-level studies and broader comparative findings. Postdocs will also contribute to research reports, scholarly publications, conference presentations, and seminars, with an emphasis on evidence-based experimentation and disciplinary-specific teaching innovation.
This is a campus-based appointment in Ithaca, New York, within Cornell’s Vice Provost Units. The position sits at the intersection of educational research, faculty collaboration, and AI-enabled curriculum change across multiple disciplines.
