About this position
The University of Florida is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in Chemistry/Biology to investigate DNA damage through genome-wide mapping of abasic sites at single-nucleotide resolution.
Led by Dr. Feng Tang in the Department of Chemistry, the project focuses on DNA-Protein Cross-Linking Sequencing and combines high-throughput sequencing with proteomics to characterize DNA damage. The research will examine how damage caused by environmental exposure and endogenous metabolism contributes to cancer and aging-related diseases.
The position provides an interdisciplinary research environment spanning chemistry, molecular biology, genomics, sequencing, proteomics, and bioinformatics. The successful researcher will contribute to experimental and analytical work aimed at understanding DNA damage across the genome and its relevance to disease biology.
