About this position
The Ye Lab at Virginia Tech is recruiting a postdoctoral associate for an NIH-funded project examining how glioma reshapes and exploits the tumor microenvironment to support malignant progression. The research is centered on malignant glioma and the role of astrocytes in shaping the local brain environment during disease.
The project combines genetically engineered mouse models and human glioma models with advanced imaging, single-cell transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics, and molecular biology approaches. The postdoctoral associate will take a leading role in experimental design, data analysis, presentations in lab meetings, and dissemination of results at conferences and seminars. The role also includes contributing to manuscript preparation and mentoring research technicians and students.
This is a collaborative, research-intensive position in a productive environment focused on glial biology and brain cancer. The successful candidate will join a team that supports career development while allowing the postdoc to build on existing expertise and develop new technical skills.
