About this position
The research group of Joel Collier at Duke University is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to investigate immunologically active biomaterials in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The project centers on the design and study of engineered materials that may serve as novel treatments for a range of inflammatory and infectious diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory lung disease, lupus, psoriasis, and chronic wounds. The postdoctoral researcher will carry out both basic and applied research in a collaborative setting, contributing to the group’s work on biomaterials with immune relevance.
In addition to research, the role includes mentoring more junior lab members, writing manuscripts and grant applications, and contributing to a creative and collaborative working environment. Duke University also notes that multiple career development opportunities are available for postdoctoral researchers.
