About this position
The Pickrell Lab at Virginia Tech is recruiting a postdoctoral associate to investigate mechanisms of mitochondrial dysfunction in primary mitochondrial disorders. The project focuses on the mechanistic underpinnings of OXPHOS dysfunction in postnatal neurodevelopment, with particular attention to neurogenesis and gliogenesis.
The successful candidate will join a research environment centered on cell and molecular approaches, single-cell sequencing, and neuroscience. The role includes active participation in lab meetings, support for training undergraduate and graduate students, and day-to-day contribution to maintaining an organized laboratory and data environment.
The appointment is based at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, within a major research university that emphasizes transdisciplinary scholarship and broad research activity.
