About this position
This postdoctoral associate position in the Puxeddu Lab at Virginia Tech focuses on brain network analysis and computational approaches to understanding neural connectivity. The successful researcher will work on projects involving the Drosophila connectome and/or the development of computational and methodological tools for network neuroscience.
The role is designed for an independent yet collaborative scientist who can contribute to publications while working closely with lab members and external collaborators. The advertised research sits at the intersection of neuroscience and quantitative analysis, with an emphasis on extracting insight from complex brain-network data and building methods that support network neuroscience research.
Virginia Tech is a large, research-intensive university in Blacksburg, with a broad transdisciplinary environment and substantial research activity across the institution. The position is housed in the Puxeddu Lab and offers an environment oriented toward collaborative scientific work, publication output, and interaction with broader research communities.
The post combines hands-on computational research with opportunities to engage in a wider network of collaborators. It is especially relevant to researchers interested in connectomics, neural connectivity, and the development of analysis pipelines for biological network data.
