The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on tourism digital transformation and strategic management. The project is titled “Strategic adaptation under the digital transformation of tourism: Addressing demand, competition, and technological challenges” and is led with Dr. Simone Bianco and Prof. Huihui Zhang.

This opportunity is well suited to research-driven candidates interested in building a strong publication pipeline in areas such as strategic management, digital competition, large-scale data analysis, econometric methods, digital platforms, and AI. The post emphasizes rigorous, data-driven research and contribution to top-tier journal publications.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a doctoral degree or equivalent qualification, have no more than five years of post-qualification experience, and show strong interest in publishing high-quality journal papers in strategic management or strong skills in advanced secondary data manipulation and analysis. A background in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Management, Marketing, or Data Science is preferred, and programming experience in Python or R is an advantage.
