About this position

Statens Serum Institut is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Novo Nordisk Foundation Initiative for Vaccines and Immunity (NIVI) TB Vaccine Research Group. The project focuses on translating scientific discoveries into effective tuberculosis vaccine candidates.

The position brings together mechanistic immunology, airway immunity, preclinical vaccine evaluation, and biomarker development. The postdoctoral researcher will investigate why vaccine strategies succeed or fail, generate insight into immune mechanisms, and use these findings to determine which vaccine concepts should advance toward further development.

The role offers an opportunity to work in a translational vaccine-research environment at Statens Serum Institut, contributing to research at the interface of immunology, infectious disease, vaccine development, and biomarker discovery, with Rasmus Mortensen and colleagues in the NIVI TB Vaccine Research Group.
