About this position
The Kim Lab in the Department of Urology at Yale School of Medicine is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for an innovative translational cancer research program focused on systems cancer biology and precision cancer care.
The lab develops advanced cancer models, applies integrative genomic and functional genomic analyses, and investigates the cellular circuitry governing cancer initiation, progression, and maintenance. The research aims to identify how these circuits can be disrupted, discover novel therapeutic strategies, and match effective treatments to the right patients.
The postdoctoral appointment provides immersive interdisciplinary training at the intersection of basic science and translational oncology. The fellow will work with experimental biologists, computational scientists, and clinician-investigators, gaining experience in generating, analyzing, interpreting, and experimentally validating functional genomic data in biological and clinical contexts.
Dr. William Kim and the Kim Lab offer personalized mentorship, structured educational activities, regular individual meetings, progress evaluations, and access to professional development opportunities across Yale. The collaborative research environment is designed to strengthen scientific reasoning, experimental strategy, data interpretation, and preparation for careers in academic, biomedical, or physician-scientist settings.
