About this position

The Rice Wireless Group at Rice University, led by Professor Ashu Sabharwal and Rahman Doost, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join their team. The research involves designing and implementing novel software-defined, AI/ML-powered stacks for wireless communications and sensing, with an emphasis on modern PHY/MAC layer design and advanced machine learning techniques.

Applicants should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong background in wireless communications and demonstrable research experience in AI and machine learning algorithm development. Proficiency in system programming languages such as C or C++ is highly desirable, and experience with GPU programming is a strong plus.
