Postdoctoral Position in AI-Driven Wireless Communications and Sensing at Rice University

The Rice Wireless Group at Rice University, led by Professor Ashu Sabharwal and Rahman Doost, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join their team. The position focuses on building next-generation, AI-driven wireless research platforms, advancing the group's major projects: ETHOS (Reconfigurable Eco-system for Next-generation End-to-end Wireless) and Houdini (Software Defined Radio Open-Access Platform for Wireless Networking, Imaging, and Sensing). The research involves designing and implementing novel software-defined, AI/ML-powered stacks for wireless communications and sensing, with an emphasis on modern PHY/MAC layer design and advanced machine learning techniques. Applicants should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong background in wireless communications and demonstrable research experience in AI and machine learning algorithm development. Proficiency in system programming languages such as C or C++ is highly desirable, and experience with GPU programming is a strong plus. The position offers the opportunity to work in a leading research environment at Rice University, collaborating with experts in wireless systems and digital health initiatives. Interested candidates should send their CV to [email protected] and [email protected]. For more information about the research projects, visit ETHOS and Houdini . This is an immediate opening, and applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
