About this position

The Bouatia-Naji Team at PARCC-INSERM, Université Paris Cité, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join the Leducq Network of Excellence (Align-FMD) focused on cardiovascular disease, particularly fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) in women. The team integrates clinicians, statistical and molecular geneticists, and cell biologists to advance understanding of the genetic causes and biological translation of FMD, which manifests in adulthood and is linked to stroke and myocardial infarction. The research involves pluripotent stem cell-derived smooth muscle cells (SMCs) and endothelial cells, with a focus on loss-of-function, gain-of-function, and variant-specific models. Experimental approaches include CRISPR genome editing, microscopy, cell sorting, and computational analysis (bulk and single cell RNAseq). The postdoc will participate in international collaborative research within the Leducq network, engaging with multiple labs and contributing to mechanistic studies related to vascular function. Applicants should have a PhD in molecular and cell biology or related fields, with experience in iPS cell lines, SMCs, endothelial cells, and advanced analytical techniques. The position is fully funded, and Inserm is recognized for its commitment to gender equality, diversity, and staff well-being. The working language is English, and the start date is flexible between July 2026 and January 2027. To apply, send your CV, cover letter, and two references to [email protected].
