About this position

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Shikha Chauhan at the University of Oklahoma, United States.

The project sits at the chemistry–biology interface and focuses on cyclic nucleotide signaling as an emerging mechanism of cellular regulation and human disease. Research areas include organic and medicinal chemistry, chemical probe development, biochemistry, proteomics, metabolomics, and cell biology.

Current topics include 2′,3′-cyclic nucleotide signaling, development of nucleotide/nucleoside analogs, discovery of new protein targets and signaling pathways, and development of chemical tools for enzyme profiling, imaging, and screening. The work has applications toward antimicrobial and anticancer drug discovery.

Applicants should have a strong background in organic chemistry and expertise in chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field. Experience in nucleotide/nucleoside chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or chemical probe development is highly desirable but not required.

To apply, interested candidates should email a CV and a brief statement of research interests to [email protected].
