About this position
The theoretical particle physics group at the University of Tokyo is offering a postdoctoral position in particle phenomenology with a focus on dark matter detection and its interface with quantum information and quantum metrology.
The successful researcher will work primarily with Hajime Fukuda on theoretical approaches to detecting and characterizing dark matter using tools from quantum information and quantum measurement theory. The project is flexible: specific topics will be shaped in discussion with the selected candidate, and new research ideas related to these themes are welcome.
The position is based in the High Energy Theory Group at the University of Tokyo’s Hongo Campus in Tokyo. The broader theoretical particle physics group includes Takeo Moroi, Masahito Yamazaki, Koichi Hamaguchi, Hajime Fukuda, Natsumi Nagata, and Masataka Watanabe, providing a strong environment in high-energy theory and related areas.
The appointment is a fixed-term postdoctoral role beginning on or after April 1, 2027 and ending on March 31, 2030, with no possibility of renewal.
