Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Biomedical IC (MBIC) and Biochip Development at POSTECH Pohang University of Science and Technology in South Korea

POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) is recruiting four Postdoctoral Researchers for the Molecular Biomedical IC (MBIC) team within K-BIGHEART (NRL 2.0). This is an interdisciplinary postdoctoral opportunity at the interface of chemistry, biomedical engineering, materials science, and biochip development, with a strong emphasis on molecular-level design and device-level implementation.

The research themes include (bio)molecular synthesis, advanced organic chemistry, reaction engineering in complex bioenvironments, bioorthogonal chemistry, catalytic systems, and translational biomedicine. The team also works in close collaboration with areas such as materials chemistry and nanoarchitectures, plasmonic and acoustic transduction platforms, microfluidics, and quantum and advanced sensing technologies.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have strong expertise in organic synthesis, especially multi-step synthesis, reaction design, and mechanistic understanding. Preferred experience includes bioconjugation, chemical biology, biocatalysis, and cell culture or biointerface studies.
