About this position
Up to three postdoctoral researchers will join the Department of Physics at the University of the Basque Country (EHU), working within the EHU Quantum Center in the Bilbao metropolitan area. The appointments are part of an active theoretical physics environment with strong links to cosmology, gravitation, particle physics and related research areas, as well as extensive international collaborations.
The positions are designed to support research across several interconnected themes, including early-universe cosmology, observational cosmology and astrophysics, gravitation, and particle physics. The advert highlights a broad set of topics such as inflation and early-universe dynamics, topological defects, primordial black holes and gravitational waves, dark matter and dark energy, large-scale structure, gravitational lensing, neutrino cosmology and astrophysics, general relativity, relativistic astrophysics, black holes, loop quantum gravity, quantum cosmology, QCD, heavy-ion physics, neutrino physics, quantum computing for high-energy physics, supergravity, and string theory.
The postdoctoral researchers will be embedded in a research community that includes faculty and researchers working in these areas, alongside other postdoctoral researchers and graduate students. The selection emphasis is on scientific fit and the potential for fruitful interaction and collaboration with the group.
The role is situated in a broad and active environment connected to the EHU Quantum Center, offering opportunities to contribute to collaborative theoretical physics research spanning cosmology, gravitation and high-energy physics.
