About this position
Purdue University’s Governance and Responsible AI Lab (GRAIL) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate in AI Governance. The two-year appointment is designed for a researcher interested in the social, ethical, legal, and policy dimensions of artificial intelligence and other technologies that affect the public interest.
Working closely with GRAIL Co-Directors Kaylyn Jackson Schiff and Daniel Schiff, along with other researchers and students, the postdoctoral researcher will conduct rigorous, policy-relevant research and contribute to collaborative projects. The role also provides opportunities to develop independent and coauthored scholarship and to communicate research findings to scholarly, policy, and public audiences.
GRAIL is an interdisciplinary research center bringing together faculty, students, and partners across disciplines and sectors. Its work has particular expertise in the social and domestic policy dimensions of AI, including AI governance, technology policy, responsible AI, and the broader social and ethical implications of emerging technologies.
