The research focus is highly interdisciplinary and sits at the intersection of construction automation, artificial intelligence, robotics, sensing, data analytics, cyberinfrastructure, and digital construction technologies. Responsibilities include conducting research, preparing journal and conference papers, technical reports, and presentations, supporting proposal development and future funding opportunities, mentoring students, and collaborating with faculty, industry, community, and other research partners.
Applicants should have a PhD in construction engineering, civil engineering, computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, data science, information science, or a closely related field. Programming and technical skills in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, ROS, JavaScript, R, or similar tools are highly desirable.
