About this position
This full-time, 12-month fixed-term postdoctoral role sits within the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, a partnership between the University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District. The successful candidate will join the Professor Christine Lin research team and contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused research environment that brings together researchers, clinicians, and consumers working on one of the world’s major health challenges: musculoskeletal conditions.
The institute’s research environment is described as unique and highly collaborative, drawing on the resources of a large local health district and the expertise of internationally recognised researchers from the Sydney Medical School. The postdoctoral associate will help deliver high-quality research with real-world impact, working across national and international networks and contributing to work that informs clinical practice, policy, and healthcare delivery.
The broader research agenda highlighted in the advert focuses on musculoskeletal health and physical activity, with a strong emphasis on translating evidence into practice. The team’s work is positioned around contemporary approaches to back pain and musculoskeletal care, and the role offers the chance to contribute to scholarly outputs, stakeholder engagement, and the development of a positive, inclusive research culture.
The position also includes opportunities to collaborate with academic, clinical, industry, and professional stakeholders, support students where appropriate, and contribute to faculty, school, and project activities within a leading Australian research setting.
