About this position
This postdoctoral position is based in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University and centers on a collaborative research program examining how PFAS exposure affects ovarian biology. The project focuses on the molecular and phenotypic ovarian responses to exposure, combining in vivo animal exposure studies with ex vivo ovary culture experiments.
The successful candidate will contribute to a broad set of experiments and analyses, including ovarian follicle assessment, steroid hormone quantification, molecular laboratory work, data analysis, and experimental design. The role also involves manuscript preparation, maintaining detailed research records, managing laboratory sample inventories, and helping sustain a collaborative research environment.
The position is embedded in a department with strong research activity across animal production, veterinary medicine, genomics, physiology, nutrition, and animal well-being. The postdoc will also help train and mentor graduate students while working within an established research and outreach setting at Iowa State University.
