About this position
Yale School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow for the Vascular Biology & Therapeutics Program in the Department of Comparative Medicine. The project investigates the long-term cardiovascular consequences of preeclampsia, a clinically important pregnancy complication, using mouse models.
The fellow will conduct cardiovascular physiology and immunology studies focused on how immune mechanisms contribute to later cardiovascular outcomes. Research activities include flow cytometry, antibody-mediated depletion of cells, adoptive transfer, immune-cell isolation, mouse handling, injections, survival surgery, microdissection, RT-PCR, western blotting, immunostaining and imaging, and mammalian cell culture.
The laboratory is located in the Amistad Research Building on the Yale School of Medicine campus within the Vascular Biology and Therapeutics Program. Yale VBT connects vascular biology discoveries with allied clinical programs in Medicine and Surgery, creating a research environment focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disorders. The fellow will also develop protocols, establish new methodologies, document and analyze experimental results, present findings to team members, and participate in manuscript preparation and publication.
The position offers a research environment spanning vascular biology, immunology, cardiovascular medicine, and translational biomedical science.
