About this position

KAIST Embedded AI Lab is recruiting postdoctoral researchers for Fall 2026 / Spring 2027. The lab is led by Seulki Lee (Associate Professor, KAIST EE / Department of AI Systems) and focuses on Embedded AI, On-Device AI, AI Systems, Edge Computing, Physical AI, AIoT, and Secure/Confidential AI.

The research direction emphasizes intelligent systems that can learn, reason, adapt, and interact directly on resource-constrained devices such as robots, vehicles, smartphones, wearables, IoT platforms, and cyber-physical systems. The lab highlights opportunities in AI systems & infrastructure, on-device AI agents, embedded physical AI, embedded machine learning, edge intelligence, and trustworthy AI.

What the lab offers includes a competitive salary and benefits, a world-class research environment at KAIST, access to GPU clusters and embedded/robotics platforms, international collaborations, and support for publishing in top venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP, MLSys, ASPLOS, OSDI, SOSP, MobiSys, MobiCom, and SenSys.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled. Interested candidates should submit their information through the application form linked by the lab. The post also notes that the lab welcomes motivated members for 2026/2027, including MS/PhD/PostDoc interest, but the explicit opening announced here is for postdoctoral researchers.
