About this position

The Department of Physics at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Targeted Simons Research Group on Cosmic Magnetism. The position is based on the Tempe campus and is part of a collaborative, multi-institutional team focused on all aspects of cosmic magnetic fields.

The successful candidate will join a research environment that combines theoretical high-energy physics, cosmology, and astrophysics. The project centers on the generation of magnetic fields in the early universe, their subsequent evolution, and the observational signatures that can reveal their presence. The postdoctoral scholar will conduct both independent and collaborative research and will participate in the activities of the Targeted Simons Research Group as well as Professor Vachaspati’s group at ASU.

This role also includes contributing to the dissemination of research results and supporting the mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students. The appointment is fixed-term and associated with a larger Simons Foundation-funded effort, within a department known for broad research strengths and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
