About this position
The iSTAR Lab at Texas A&M University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to lead advanced work at the intersection of cyber-physical systems, trustworthy AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation networks. The project focus is on resilient-by-design architectures for critical infrastructure and autonomous systems, supported through federally funded research efforts.
The role emphasizes research leadership within the lab’s technical directions and the successful candidate’s own expertise. The postdoctoral researcher will help design and implement novel methods, contribute to proposal development for federal and industrial sponsors, and lead the writing of high-impact journal papers and conference presentations.
This position also includes mentoring responsibilities, with opportunities to co-supervise Ph.D. and master’s students and guide their theoretical and experimental work. In addition, the researcher will help develop and manage lab testbeds spanning smart grid co-simulations, CPS robotics, software defined radios, and industrial control systems.
The work is based at Texas A&M Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution on the main campus in College Station, Texas. The posting highlights collaboration across Texas A&M units and partners, including the Global Cyber Research Institute, the Texas A&M Institute of Data Science, and the Smart Grid Center, placing the position in a broad, interdisciplinary research environment.
