About this position
Postdoctoral researcher in halide perovskites and nonequilibrium materials is sought for a 12-month, full-time position at the Laboratory of Physics and Study of Materials (LPEM), ESPCI Paris–CNRS, in Paris, France.
The project, funded by MINOTAURE within the French national PEPR-TASE programme, examines how light, heat and the surrounding environment reshape halide perovskites, including why some changes are reversible while others produce lasting material transformations. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research on perovskite nanocrystals or thin films, connecting photophysics with defect dynamics, interfaces and nanoscale material evolution.
The research environment spans materials chemistry, condensed-matter physics and optics, with access to advanced characterisation facilities and collaborations across the PEPR network. Candidates should hold a PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science or a related discipline. Experience in optical spectroscopy, semiconductor nanomaterials, thin-film research or nanoscale characterisation is particularly relevant. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome, although early availability is important because of the project timeline.
The appointment lasts 12 months and offers a salary based on the CNRS postdoctoral scale, depending on experience. The anticipated start is as soon as possible, subject to required administrative FSD approvals. To apply, send a CV including publications and the name of your PhD supervisor, along with your earliest possible start date, to Zhuoying Chen at [email protected].
