About this position
The Innate Immunity Research Group at Łukasiewicz PORT is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the NCN OPUS 30 project “Investigating the role of ILC2s in regulating blood vessels in melanoma”, led by Dr. hab. Marek Wagner.
This interdisciplinary project explores how group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) may regulate the tumour vasculature and influence melanoma progression and antitumour immunity. The team will investigate communication between ILC2s and vascular endothelial cells, with a focus on how these interactions shape the organisation and function of tumour blood vessels. The broader aim is to uncover new mechanisms of tumour–immune–vascular communication and identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets in cancer.
The role sits at the intersection of cancer biology, immunology, vascular biology and bioinformatics. The selected researcher will contribute to experimental design and independent research, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and collaboration within the group and with national and international partners.
The advert emphasises that prior experience with ILC2s is not required and welcomes applicants from molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, vascular biology and related areas who want to develop an interdisciplinary research direction in a modern, collaborative environment.
