About this position
The Nanomedicine Group at IDIVAL in Santander, Spain, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to work on innovative microfluidic technologies for nucleic acid encapsulation. The project focuses on designing, optimizing, and characterizing microfluidic systems that can produce nucleic-acid-containing nanostructures in a controlled and reproducible way.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research environment at the interface of microfluidics, nanotechnology, biomaterials, molecular biology, and biomedicine. The work is embedded in project DTS24/00023 and is linked to research activity at the Instituto de Investigación Marqués de Valdecilla (IDIVAL) together with the University of Cantabria context in Santander.
The role is centered on developing microfluidic processes for nanoparticle and nanocarrier production, generating reproducible protocols, and performing physicochemical characterization of nanoformulations. The post also involves analyzing experimental results, preparing scientific publications and reports, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team working on nanomedicine applications.
