About this position
CQUniversity is inviting expressions of interest for a postdoctoral project in mobile sensing and artificial intelligence focused on occupational heat stress.
The project will develop and test a mobile application integrating an AI-based heat stress prediction model. The application is intended to support heat-strain monitoring for outdoor workers during real working conditions. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with a research assistant who will assist with on-site data collection at participating field sites.
Field testing will take place across two heat seasons, allowing the model and mobile application to be deployed and evaluated in practical workplace environments. The project brings together mobile application development, AI-based prediction, sensor-informed monitoring, and applied field research for worker health and safety.
The research team includes Lecturer Mohammad Saiedur Rahaman and Associate Professor Paul Kwan within CQUniversity’s School of Engineering and Technology.
