About this position
The Institute of Organic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the international MATERIALIZE project: Methodology and Synthesis Advancement To Empower Researchers In Advanced optoeLectronIc matErials (Horizon Europe / MSCA COFUND).
This is a full-time, 36-month temporary postdoc position focused on interdisciplinary research in organic chemistry, computational chemistry, catalysis, reaction mechanisms, and the development of next-generation organic materials for optoelectronic applications. The successful candidate will design and execute a research project aligned with the programme’s scientific goals, work closely with a mentor from IChO and a co-mentor from an international partner institution, contribute to training activities and a Career Development Plan, and complete a secondment of at least 3 months in an academic or industry setting.
The post is funded under Horizon Europe – MSCA and includes a gross monthly basic salary of about 4,350 EUR, plus a mobility allowance of about 418 EUR gross and a family allowance of about 334 EUR gross if applicable. Total funding includes employer social security contributions. Additional benefits include private medical care, possible guesthouse accommodation at the start of employment, sports card programmes, access to social funds, paid annual leave, and strong institutional support for training and career development.
Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD (or equivalent / formal proof of defence before the deadline) in chemistry, physics, biology, or a related discipline, and must satisfy the MSCA Mobility Rule (no more than 12 months of main activity or residence in Poland in the 36 months before the deadline). Excellent English is required. The call is open and inclusive, and computational proposals are especially welcomed for candidates who need to avoid laboratory work.
