About this position

Aalborg University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in Power Electronics and Converter Synchronization for a two-year position at AAU Energy in Aalborg, Denmark.

The researcher will join the EMI/EMC in Power Electronics research group within the Section for Applied Power Electronic Systems. The work is part of the VILLUM Experiment project A-choir, which addresses advanced converter synchronization and control for battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The project combines power electronics, sensing, digital signal processing, time-frequency analysis, EMI/EMC, converter modelling, and experimental validation. The researcher will contribute to new approaches for synchronization and control in future energy-storage systems, with opportunities to work on DSP implementation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, high-frequency interactions, and experimental power electronics. Data-driven modelling and machine learning may also support signal analysis within the project.

The position offers a research environment focused on applied power electronic systems and the development of technologies for battery energy storage. The expected start is 1 January 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter.
