Postdoctoral Researcher position at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Synthesis of Novel High-Performance Polyurethanes.

The project is hosted in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry and supervised by Prof. Željko Tomović in the Polymer Performance Materials group, part of the interdisciplinary Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS).

Research focus: design, synthesis, and characterization of novel polyols for high-performance polyurethane (PU) materials; understanding performance profiles; and elucidating structure–property relationships using chemical, structural, rheological, and mechanical characterization techniques.

Relevant study areas and keywords include polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer science, materials science, advanced materials, sustainable polymers, and polyurethanes.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or a related discipline. A strong background in organic/polymer chemistry and experience with synthesis and characterization of organic molecules or polymers are essential. Excellent English communication skills, initiative, creativity, analytical ability, and interest in application-oriented research are expected.

Funding and conditions: full-time appointment for 2 years with salary under the Dutch university collective agreement (scale 10).
