Postdoctoral Researcher in UrbanHealthTwin: Digital Twins, Urban Analytics, and Public Health Planning Delft University of Technology in Netherlands

Tu Delft is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher for the UrbanHealthTwin project, a 24-month NWO-FAPESP collaboration focused on building an innovative digital twin platform for climate adaptation and public health planning in São Paulo and Rotterdam.

The project integrates climate, hydrological, epidemiological, biological, and urban-system models to support decision-making in complex urban environments. The successful candidate will be based at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and will contribute to the development of the platform, likely working across computer science, environmental science, public health, geospatial modelling, and urban analytics.

Ideal applicants have expertise in digital twins, simulation workflows, semantic data integration, decision-support systems, or related areas. Strong Python and/or JavaScript programming skills are highly desirable, along with experience in interdisciplinary teams. The role also includes collaboration and extended research activities with project partners in Brazil.

Funding: The position offers a monthly salary of €3,546–€5,538 depending on experience.
