About this position
This postdoctoral position at the Medical College of Wisconsin focuses on experimental physiology and neurocardiovascular regulation. The researcher will investigate the role of the brain renin-angiotensin system in blood pressure regulation and autonomic control, combining in vivo and molecular approaches in a mentored research setting.
The work includes planning and executing complex studies and using technically advanced methods such as radiotelemetry, nerve recordings, spectral analyses of cardiovascular data, stereotactic microinjections, and molecular work with transgenic mice and vectors. The role also involves discovery-oriented research, data synthesis and analysis, preparation of scientific reports and manuscripts, and close participation in discussions with the principal investigator and research staff to interpret data and refine laboratory methods.
The postdoctoral researcher may also contribute to laboratory operations such as inventory management, vendor coordination, purchase tracking, and supervision or training of laboratory personnel. The position is embedded in MCW’s academic medicine environment, which emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary research and scientific discovery in health and society.
