Postdoctoral Researchers in Spinal Cord Stimulation for Motor, Arm, and Hand Function University of Pittsburgh in United States

RNEL (Rehabilitation and Neural Engineering Laboratory) at the University of Pittsburgh is hiring two postdoctoral researchers focused on spinal cord stimulation.

Position 1 centers on spinal cord stimulation for improving motor function in cerebral palsy. The work includes leading first-in-human clinical trials, designing human electrophysiology experiments, and developing computational models of neural networks. Position 2 focuses on spinal cord stimulation for arm and hand function after spinal cord injury. The project compares transcutaneous versus epidural stimulation to restore hand and arm function, with responsibilities including clinical trials, stimulation protocol development, neurophysiological data analysis, and subject-specific computational modeling from CT/MRI. The preferred background is a PhD in Biomedical/Neural Engineering, Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, or a related field.
