About this position
The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine is seeking a postdoctoral scholar for clinical neuroscience research within a clinical neurology and neuroinformatics group. The position is based in an active research environment that brings together faculty expertise in neurology, epidemiology, data science, and biostatistics.
Under the direct supervision of Dr. Ali Ezzati, the scholar will join projects centered on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, with additional emphasis on migraine and other headache disorders, neuroepidemiology, and neurodegenerative disorders. The work combines clinical neurology with modern data-driven approaches, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, neuroinformatics, and advanced biostatistical modeling.
The postdoctoral scholar will work with large biomedical datasets from cohort studies and clinical trials, including longitudinal data, and will help develop predictive models and analytical tools for clinically important questions. The role also includes contributing to scholarly publications, grant writing, and the development of clinical research studies, as well as collaborating on projects involving biomarkers, digital health platforms, and translational neuroscience.
This is a multidisciplinary research setting in the UCI School of Medicine that is designed for candidates who want to build experience at the interface of neurology, computational methods, and translational clinical research.
