SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai, India is inviting applications for a Project Associate-I position under an ANRF-PMECRG funded project titled AI-HerboScreen: Development of Novel Artificial Intelligence Framework for Therapeutic Repurposing and Validation of Indian Medicinal Plant Bioactives Targeting the TGF-β/INHBA Axis in Oral Submucous Fibrosis.

This is an interdisciplinary opportunity at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Multi-omics, Computational Biology, Drug Discovery, and Oral Cancer/Fibrosis research. The selected candidate will work on AI-driven therapeutic repurposing, medicinal plant bioactive screening, target prioritization, network pharmacology, molecular docking, and translational bioinformatics studies.

Eligible backgrounds include Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines. The advertisement states that candidates should have an M.Sc./M.Tech. degree with at least 70% marks or equivalent CGPA. Desirable skills include Python/R programming, machine learning/deep learning, omics data analysis, network biology, systems biology, Linux, HPC, scientific writing, and publication experience.
