About this position
This Research Fellow position at the Australian National University sits at the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, and psychology. The project is a collaboration between ANU and the Australian Government, focused on understanding personality in online environments by extracting psychological insights from digital text data.
The fellow will work closely with a psychology post-doctoral colleague and contribute to research that fine-tunes and builds orchestration pipelines for pre-trained and large language models. The role also involves systematically evaluating and comparing alternative orchestration frameworks and agent-based architectures, with the aim of solving challenging real-world problems that connect advanced AI methods to personality research.
The successful candidate will work within ANU’s Research School of Medicine and Psychology and will be able to engage with world-class computing infrastructure. The position is embedded in a collaborative environment involving academic researchers and the Australian Government, with opportunities to liaise with international partners and academic institutions.
The role also invites participation in additional projects that complement the main research program, integrate within existing research labs, and support the development of teaching and science communication skills.
