About this position

SWPS University is offering a Research Fellow position at the Institute of Psychology, Neurocognitive Research Center in Warsaw, Poland. The role is connected to the project “OPUS 29: Differentiating Types of Mild Cognitive Impairment and Predicting Their Risk of Progression Based on Neurocognitive, Dietary, and Gut Microbiota Markers.” The project examines how neurocognitive, dietary, and gut microbiota markers may help differentiate subtypes of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and estimate the risk of progression to dementia.

This position is particularly well suited to candidates with an interest in neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, experimental psychology, psychophysics, quantitative psychology, and related areas. The post involves analysis and interpretation of quantitative data, participant oversight, collection of behavioral and EEG data, preprocessing and analysis of data, support for conference presentations, preparation of manuscript drafts, and dissemination of findings. The work is carried out under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).

Eligibility highlights include a Master’s degree in psychology or a related field such as biology or computer science, research experience in behavioral and psychophysiological (EEG) measurements, experience using statistical methods for experimental data, understanding of research ethics, and advanced English and Polish (minimum C1 level). Candidates should also be willing to learn new analysis approaches, including multilevel modeling. Programming/scripting and psychophysiological data experience are preferred.

The appointment is offered as a fixed-term scholarship agreement from 2026-10-01 to 2030-01-31, with a possible extension of eight months. The posting states a doctoral scholarship of PLN 3,570.50 gross per month, along with support for academic development, conference participation, publication bonuses, and commercialization support.
