Full-time study normally takes three academic years. Part-time study normally takes six years and is available only to applicants who do not require a Student visa. Students may begin in September or January.
Applicants normally need a UK 2:1 honours degree and a master's degree with high merit overall and distinction in the dissertation, or equivalent international qualifications. Accepted English qualifications include IELTS Academic, TOEFL-iBT, C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency, Oxford ELLT and Oxford Test of English Advanced, subject to the stated scores and validity rules.
Before applying, candidates should review staff research profiles and send a draft proposal to the Translation Studies Departmental Postgraduate Research Director at [email protected].
