About this position
The University of Oxford is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers to join its Spatial and Translational Pathology Group, working at the intersection of machine learning, multimodal clinical AI, computational pathology, and translational medicine.
The researchers will develop novel machine-learning approaches that integrate multimodal NHS clinical data with medical imaging, genomics, digital pathology, tissue-based AI models, and spatial transcriptomics. The goal is to improve understanding of disease biology and enable better prediction of patient outcomes, with a particular emphasis on blood cancers and opportunities to extend the research to other cancers and diseases.
One position will contribute to an MPN Research Foundation-supported programme involving data from patients with, or investigated for, myeloproliferative neoplasms. The group works across Oxford’s research communities in clinical and molecular haematology, biomedical engineering, machine learning, and translational medicine, offering a collaborative environment for clinically relevant AI research.
The projects are suited to researchers who want to apply advanced machine-learning and computational methods to important medical problems. Haematology or pathology experience is not required, allowing strong ML researchers from computer science or engineering backgrounds to contribute to clinical and biomedical research.
