🚨 Exciting postdoctoral opportunity at The University of Manchester in cerebrovascular imaging and dementia research . The Microvascular@Manchester group is recruiting a Research Associate in pre-clinical in vivo imaging to join a multidisciplinary team working on how amyloid-related vascular dysfunction affects cerebral blood flow , vascular smooth muscle calcium signalling , and cognitive decline . This three-year position is supported through the Manchester NaVigate Partnership and is based in the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences and the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. The project uses multi-photon microscopy and complementary optical imaging approaches in models relevant to Alzheimer’s disease . The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Dr Ingo Schiessl , Dr Kira Shaw , Dr Harry Pritchard , and Professor Adam Greenstein . Applicants should hold a relevant PhD and have strong experience in rodent cerebrovascular imaging .
