Postdoctoral Researcher in Human-Computer Interaction for Digital Health and Sustainable Return to Work

University of Gothenburg is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher in Human-Computer Interaction within the UGot ReWork research centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The position sits at the Department of Applied Information Technology and is closely connected to the Sahlgrenska Academy / Institute of Medicine. The project focuses on digital health , sustainable return to work , and the design of digital interventions for people on sick leave due to mental health conditions or musculoskeletal disorders. Research themes include Human-Computer Interaction , interaction design , digital systems , mobile applications , web applications , user studies , evaluation , eHealth , and interdisciplinary work across medicine, psychology, sociology, public health, and information systems. The postdoc will design and develop prototypes, research tools, and interventions; translate healthcare and workplace needs into functional digital solutions; and collaborate with users, healthcare actors, and other stakeholders. The role also includes contributing to seminars, an active research environment, and future research applications. Eligibility requires a PhD in HCI, interaction design, informatics, computer science, or a related equivalent field. Strong experience in building functional digital systems and conducting evaluations is expected, along with excellent English. Experience in digital health, participatory design, UX, and Swedish language skills are advantageous. This is a two-year, full-time postdoctoral appointment funded through UGot ReWork, which is supported by the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte).
